-​Henry County Solid Waste Management has become a drop-off point for hard-to-recycle items through the TerraCycle program. Our goal is to keep more trash out of landfills by recycling. Through TerraCycle, we can recycle... -CLEAN mismatched used socks. -ALL BRANDS of used or empty toothpaste tubes and caps, toothbrushes, toothpaste cartons, toothpast outer packaging, and floss containers. -ALL BRANDS of razor blades, razors, and plastic packaging.

We have the right to refuse any materials we feel are unsafe or not following program rules.

Only Henry County residents can use our services. Materials from large business, contractors, etc. or out of county residents will NOT be accepted.

Proof of residency is required such as a valid driver’s license, tax id form or current utility bill with a form of ID. In the event of family death, proof of homeowner required.

Not everything can find a new life through recycling. Here are non-recyclable items:

Household chemicals- chemicals not in the original container and properly labeled.

Leaking items- unsorted materials placed in trash bags will not be accepted.

Fireworks and Ammunition- check with local law enforcement.

Non-hazardous solids- (i.e. salt, grout, cement) are safe to trash at home.

Medications- pills should be taken to a pharmacy, liquids can be mixed with kitty litter or coffee grounds, double-bagged, and put in the trash.

Greasy pizza box inserts; used paper plates; paper towels and napkins.
