Tox Away Day Details

Enter at Memorial Park's Main Entrance

100 N & State Rd 3 in New Castle and follow the signs....      

Tox Away Day is for the general public of Henry County. Please bring proof of residency (driver’s license or current utility bill). Businesses, farms, municipalities and schools may participate by making PRIOR arrangements with Henry County SWMD at least one week in advance. The line is often long, so please be patient and respectful of others.

Hazardous Waste:

we will accept, free of charge, up to 10 gallons of the following:  household cleaners, flammables, pesticides, fertilizers, herbicides, acids and bases, corrosives, aerosols, oil filters, antifreeze, brake fluids, cleaners, auto, household and rechargeable batteries, fluorescent and CFL bulbs and oil-based paints (NO latex paint, it can be dried out and placed in trash).  We also accept up to 10 gallons of used motor oil.

Tires:

Up to (10) Auto Tires...Free  * additional  $1.00 each, Limit 25

Up to (4) Truck Tires....Free  * additional  $5.00 each. Limit 5

Up to (2) Farm Tires under 54”(overall measurement)..Free, *additional $75 each. Limit 4

**Any tires larger than 54" (overall measurement) will be $75.00

ALL TIRES MUST BE OFF RIM AND FREE OF MUD AND DEBRIS

Electronics/Appliances:

TV'S - $5.00 each

Remotes, computers, laptops, servers, monitors, mouse, keyboard, all computer parts, computer peripherals, all types of external drives, printers, copiers, fax, scanners, VCR's, DVD's, video game consoles,  phones, cell phones, typewriters, cash registers, networking equipment, satellite dishes, cable boxes, projectors, vacuum cleaners, carpet sweepers, coffee makers, blenders, hair dryers, holiday lights, radios, clocks, heaters & cameras. Also, washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners (*removal of CFC's tagging is not required), water heaters, dehumidifiers & microwave ovens.
